Web design and support for non-profits and small business
I am currently the New Media Campaigner for Stop Climate Chaos and built our current site from scratch as my first project utilising the Drupal CMS. It is a really exciting site and acts as the hub for everything that’s going on with the coalition’s 100+ members, including features such as RSS aggregation of member’s web news and e-actions.
The site went live in October 2008, for the initial WAMP setup and for a bit of early support (on this my first Drupal project), I worked with Homemade Digital and OpenBook. I also write the copy for the site, with some exceptions like aggregated content from Stop Climate Chaos members and policy specific work.
I also pursue the social networking strategy focussed particularly on Facebook and Twitter.
There's a knack to not falling out of the sky, and I'm interested in helping organisations who want to float themselves onto the internet. A lot of the work I do is voluntary, which (I hope) doesn't reflect in the quality, but I am also interested in small ethical business commissions for freelance work.
Pictures paint at least 1000 words (depending how good you are with Photoshop) so why not have a look through my portfolio, and then get in touch if you have a project you'd like me to consider.
