Web design and support for non-profits and small business
London Mining Network is an alliance of human rights, development and environmental groups.
For this project I derived the requirements and sourced the most appropriate CMS based on all the factors that fell out of that. Using WordPress I customised a clean, modern layout which allowed for maximum readability – a priority as the content is quite in depth.
The project took about 6 months with only a few iterations of design as despite requiring approval from a board representing the coalition, very few changes were requested. This allowed extra time to look at pre-existing plug-ins that would be useful for the organisation, and Twitter integration seemed to be the best option, given resource restrictions.
There's a knack to not falling out of the sky, and I'm interested in helping organisations who want to float themselves onto the internet. A lot of the work I do is voluntary, which (I hope) doesn't reflect in the quality, but I am also interested in small ethical business commissions for freelance work.
Pictures paint at least 1000 words (depending how good you are with Photoshop) so why not have a look through my portfolio, and then get in touch if you have a project you'd like me to consider.
